As part of the continued expansion of the FS Dynamics group, our UK operation is looking for young engineers with the same passion for engineering simulation that we have. With over 170 FEA and CFD consultants in the team, we are looking for 4 more in the UK. Our UK office is located in central Sheffield, near the train station in a well-connected and vibrant part of the city.
Simulation consultancy is what we do. It’s all that we do! …so we do it very well.
We know the importance of having excellent engineers and we strive to provide an environment where they can be nurtured, thrive and enjoy the challenges they are set. With over 350 projects ongoing, you could have the opportunity to apply your engineering skills to a very diverse set of applications.
One of the core tenets of our approach is “collaboration” within the team and with our customers. Expertise is there to be shared, not hoarded. By mentoring our staff, we grow their skill, knowledge and experience …and in the process help grow our company in a sustainable way.
FS Dynamics offers a great opportunity for those at the beginning of their career, looking for a strong start in the ever-expanding field of engineering simulation. With offices in the UK, Nordic region and Portugal, there will be the opportunity to travel internationally.
As a recently qualified MSc or PhD engineering or physics graduate, with experience in either FEA or CFD, you will have a strong understanding of engineering physics and a practical approach to simulation. CFD candidates should ideally have experience of using either Star CCM+ or ANSYS Fluent software. FEA candidates should ideally have experience of using either Simulia or ANSYS Mechanical software.
In the first few years you can expect a mixture of office-based consultancy and some long-term industrial placement within our customer base, so will need to be flexible in terms of work location.
You MUST be eligible for work and residency in the UK. Additionally, some positions may require UK nationality and security clearance.
